KELSEYVILLE, Calif. – Galilee Lutheran Church will hold a blessing of the animals this Sunday, Oct. 10, during its worship service.

The service will start at 10 a.m.

The blessing is being held in honor of the Oct. 4 birthday of St. Francis of Assisi.

The church asks that people bring photos of their pets, not the actual animals themselves.

Pets can include dogs, cats, fish, turtles, horses, mules, cows, etc.

The message will be offer by Rev. Martha Neff Stum, who also will have a special time for the children.

The women of Galilee will hold their monthly bake sale after the service.
