Brumfield portrays Alberta King at Jan. 16 service

MIDDLETOWN, Calif. – In celebration of Human Relations Day and the birthday of the Rev. Martin Luther King Jr., Pastor Voris Brumfield will portray Mrs. Alberta Williams King at the 10 a.m. service of the Middletown Community United Methodist Church on Sunday January 16.


Brumfield has embodied the mother of Dr. King on many occasions and returns to the pulpit at Middletown as his 110-year-old mother.

 

The Human Relations Day is one of six Sundays each year with special offerings.


This donation provides support for other programs such as the Youth Offender Rehabilitation Programs, Community Developers and United Methodist Voluntary Services.
