LAKEPORT, Calif. – Celebrate summer with ice cream and fancy hats at an ice cream social and hat auction Saturday, July 2, noon to 4 p.m., at St. John’s Episcopal Church, Lakeport.

Ice cream sundaes are $3.50 and banana splits are $4. Hand-decorated hats will be auctioned.

Tickets are $1 each or five for $3.

Drawings for door prizes will be every hour on the hour. Event proceeds will be shared with Terrace Middle School, whose students contribute generously to the church food closet.

St. John’s is the historic redwood church at 1190 N. Forbes Street, on the corner of Clearlake Avenue and N. Forbes Street in Lakeport.
