St. John

LAKEPORT, Calif. – Fr. Steven Brannon of Sonoma will preach at historic St. John’s Church Sunday, Sept. 11, at 10 a.m. in a special service commemorating the tragedy on Sept. 11, 2001.

Parishioners will honor the 343 firefighters who perished in the line of duty in New York that fateful day, and express appreciation for firefighters currently serving in Lake County.

Uniformed firefighters, including volunteers, and their families and friends are invited to attend Holy Eucharist and a potluck meal in Carey Hall immediately afterward.

The church bell will ring at the conclusion of the service as part of the commemoration. The church is located at 1190 N. Forbes St., on the corner of Clearlake Avenue, in Lakeport.
