LAKEPORT, Calif. – Rev. Karen King, associate priest at St. Patrick’s, Kenwood, will officiate at 10 a.m. Sunday services and celebrate Holy Communion at St. John’s Episcopal Church Nov. 16, and Dec. 7 and 21.

Rev. King earned her master of divinity from The General Theological Seminary of the Episcopal Church, New York City. 

A Louisiana native, she has bachelor and master degrees in education from Louisiana State University, Baton Rouge.

King taught English at secondary and university levels prior to becoming a priest.

She also was a law enforcement officer and private investigator.

She previously served part-time at Holy Trinity Episcopal Church in Montana.

Her hobbies include photography, golf and knitting. She has two grown daughters.

St. John’s Church is located at 1190 N. Forbes, Lakeport.

A hospitality reception in Carey Hall follows Sunday services.
