Middletown Methodist Church plans April activities and programs

MIDDLETOWN – The Community Life Committee of Middletown Community United Methodist Church invites children of the community to join adult supervisors in dyeing Easter eggs at 11:30 a.m. Sunday, April 5, in the Church Social Hall.

The Easter egg dyeing will take place following the 10 am Palm Sunday worship service where there will be the blessing of children's bikes, tricycles, skateboards and scooters. If children are unable to bring them to the workshop service for a blessing, you may bring a photograph.

Also following the worship service will be the monthly community dinner hosted by the Methodist Church at 11 a.m. in the church social hall.

Weekly food distribution for needy families is available at the Middletown Community United Methodist Church every Monday from 9:30 a.m. to noon at the Middletown Community United Methodist Church Social Hall.

The Maundy Thursday Service will take place at 5:30 p.m. on April 9 with a potluck soup supper followed by meditation and communion.

A Good Friday meditation will be held on April 10 at 6 p.m. in the Methodist Church sanctuary.

The Easter church service will take place at 10 a.m. on Sunday, April 12. Following the service at 11:30 a.m. will be an Easter egg hunt which is open to the community.
