Supervisors to get Southeast Regional Wastewater system update

LAKEPORT – The Board of Supervisors will get an update on the county's Southeast Regional Wastewater Collection System when it meets this Tuesday.

The meeting will begin at 9 a.m. Tuesday, March 16, in the Board of Supervisors chambers at the Lake County Courthouse, 255 N. Forbes St., Lakeport. TV8 will broadcast the meeting live.

On March 2 the board passed an urgency action establishing temporary restrictions to the system, which had to be pumped during a series of heavy rains in January. Still, there were some wastewater releases due to heavy rainwater inflow.

At that March 2 meeting the board also gave Lake County Sanitation District Administrator Mark Dellinger permission to take emergency action to start repairs on the system.

Dellinger will give the board an update at the Tuesday meeting. The matter is untimed.

In other news, the board also will hold a closed session to discuss labor negotiations and conduct a performance evaluation of Animal Care and Control Director Denise Johnson.
