KELSEYVILLE, Calif. – The 18th Annual Kelseyville Pear Festival is always held on the last Saturday of September. This year it falls on Saturday, Sept. 25.
Starting at 9:30 a.m., the Main Street parade kicks off the all-day festival.
This parade showcases all that is good about small town America.
Marchers, walkers, floats, vintage vehicles, private cars, trucks, tractors, bicycles and horses are encouraged to participate.
Parade entries should show some connection to pears. There is an award given to recognize the most creative use of pear-related themes.
Carol Dobusch, parade chairwomen, has announced that applications have been sent out for this year.
However, anyone who would like to join in the fun of this year’s parade can still do so.
Parade information and applications can be found at www.kelseyvillepearfestival.com. Click on the ‘Pear Info’ button to print out the form.
Complete the applications and send to P.O. Box 384, Kelseyville, CA 95451.
