CLEARLAKE, Calif. – The Clearlake Police Department is asking for the community's help in locating a missing teenager.
Sixteen-year-old Janea Armstead was last seen late Tuesday night at a Pearl Avenue residence, according to Sgt. Tim Hobbs.
Hobbs said the teen is developmentally disabled and has the mental capacity of an 8- or 9-year-old child.
He said there are no circumstances at this time to indicate anything other than the girl leaving on her own.
Janea Armstead is described as 5 feet, 6 inches tall, 200 pounds, with black hair and brown eyes. Hobbs said police didn't have a description of her clothing at the time of her last sighting.
Hobbs said the Clearlake Police Department is asking anyone with information regarding the teen's whereabouts to contact the police department at 707-994-8251.
