The most sought after memorabilia is the winning festival poster.
County artists are invited to enter the 2011 poster contest. One entry per person will be accepted. The prize winning artist will be awarded $500.
Pear festival judges are looking for artists to depict the bucolic setting of Lake County and to capture the festival theme, “It's about the pear.”
The poster should represent agricultural settings of Lake County.
The contest entry deadline is Jan. 20, 2011.
All entries must be 12 inches by 18 inches, matted and framed.
The artist’s name and telephone number must be attached to the back of each entry.
Entries should be delivered to the Kelseyville Pear Festival office, located in the Affordable Travel office on Main Street, Kelseyville.
The Kelseyville Pear Festival has the sole right to make and sell posters of the first prize winning entry until Dec. 31, 2011.
The contest winners will be announced on Feb. 1, 2011.
The Kelseyville Pear Festival is always held on the last Saturday in September.
