Lakeport Police Department plans third town hall on April 6

LAKEPORT, Calif. – The Lakeport Police Department will host the third in a series of town hall meetings on Wednesday, April 6.


The meeting will begin at 6 p.m. in the council chambers at Lakeport City Hall, 225 Park St.


The department invites all members of the public to attend.


Sgt. Jason Ferguson reported that the topic of the April 6 meeting will be gang investigations.


Officer Norm Taylor, the department's gang expert, will be the presenter, Ferguson said.


The department has held two previous town halls – on Dec. 1, regarding community policing, and Feb. 2, on the homicide investigations with a presentation on the Barbara LaForge murder.
