UC Small Farm Program hosts June 29 workshop on accessing new markets

WOODLAND, Calif. – How can you collaborate to grow your farming business, when it comes to storage, cooling, processing, promotion, marketing, distribution or food safety?


Learn from experienced, small-farm cooperative leaders and plan together for the future.


The UC Small Farm Program will host a workshop titled “Collaborating to Access New Markets” from 9 a.m. to 3 p.m. Wednesday, June 29, at the Yolo County Housing Authority office, 147 W. Main St., Woodland.


The workshop will focus on ways to increase market power and tackle logistical challenges for small- and medium-sized farms and ranches.

This workshop is co-sponsored by the Yolo County Agricultural Commissioner and UC Cooperative Extension in Yolo, Sacramento, San Joaquin, Solano, Sonoma, Lake, Contra Costa and Marin counties.
