Soper-Reese Theatre Classic Movie Series presents ‘Connecticut Yankee in King Arthur’s Court’ April 9

LAKEPORT, Calif. – The Soper-Reese Community Theatre’s Classic Movie Series presents “A Connecticut Yankee in King Arthur’s Court” on Tuesday, April 9.

This film will be shown at the Soper-Reese Community Theatre, 275 St. Main St. in Lakeport, with a $5 donation per person gratefully accepted.

There are two showings, at 1 p.m. and 6 p.m. Doors open a half-hour before each showing.

Popcorn, candy, soda, water and coffee are available for purchase.

Based on a novel by Mark Twain, the movie features Bing Crosby as a 1912 mechanic from Connecticut transported back in time to King Arthur’s court. Using modern technology he fools the people into thinking he is a “magician.” The film also stars Rhonda Fleming, William Bendix and Sir Cedric Hardwicke.

Enjoy this great movie classic on the big screen in the beautifully restored theater, which seats 300 patrons.

The Classic Movie Series runs on the second Tuesday of every month.
