LAKE COUNTY, Calif. – Lake County Farmers' Finest is opening a new midweek certified farmers' market .

The weekly markets will take place from 8:30 a.m. to noon Tuesdays at Steele Wines near Finley.

In addition to fresh and delicious fruits and vegetables, honey, goat cheese, plant starts and handmade crafts, opening day will feature music by Andy Rossoff and a "Taste of the Market" cooking demo by Francesca Zito.

"This added market will open up a new opportunity for those who may not be able to make a Saturday event,” said market manager Cornelia Sieber-Davis.

"Our farmers are happy to share their growing practices with you. There is no better way to ensure your family gets the freshest, most wholesome food than to know who grew and/or produced it," said Sieber-Davis.

This new market, along with the longstanding Saturday morning market, will also accept EBT and WIC farmers' market vouchers.

Both markets run from 8:30 a.m. to noon and are held at Steele Wines, right off Highway 29 on Thomas Drive near Finley, between Lakeport and Kelseyville.
