CLEARLAKE, Calif. – A “state of the city” town hall in Clearlake will take place this week.
The special meeting is planned for 5 to 8 p.m. Wednesday, Aug. 31, at the Clearlake Community Center, 3245 Bowers Ave.
City officials said the town hall will be a joint meeting of the Clearlake City Council and the Clearlake Planning Commission.
City Manager Greg Folsom, who brought the state of the city concept to Clearlake, said the meeting is meant to share what the city has accomplished and let the community know what's happening now and what is in the planning stages.
Beginning at 5 p.m. there will be an hour-long open house during which community members can ask questions of representatives of city departments including police, code enforcement, public works, finance, building and the city clerk.
A formal presentation by the Clear Lake Chamber of Commerce and the city of Clearlake will take place from 6 to 8 p.m.
