CLEARLAKE, Calif. – After a hiatus of several years, the city of Clearlake this year plans to once again host a trick-or-treat party for the community's children.
The party will be held from 2 to 5 p.m. Monday, Oct. 31, at Clearlake City Hall, 14050 Olympic Drive.
This event is 100-percent funded by donations from city and Clearlake Police Department staff, and the community.
“City staff and police officers will be handing out goodies and reflective treat bags to community children as a safe alternative to trick-or-treating in unknown neighborhoods. Refreshments will also be available for children and parents to enjoy,” said City Clerk Melissa Swanson.
“Since this event has not happened for the last several years, I am thrilled that the city will once again provide this fun and safe event for the community,” said City Manager Greg Folsom.
If you would like to donate unopened bags of candy, you can stop by City Hall or contact Swanson at 707-994-8201, Extension 106, or
