Blues benefit for Hope City planned for Oct. 22

LUCERNE, Calif. – The Halloween Blues & Spirits event to benefit Hope City's effort to build new homes for wildland fire survivors will take place on Saturday, Oct. 22.

The benefit will be held from 6 to 10 p.m. at the Northshore Community Center, 3985 Country Club Drive in Lucerne.

This Halloween party will be open to all ages with contests and prizes, raffle, and silent auction with wine, crafts and items for holiday gift giving.

A local artist also has donated a stained glass panel of a Phoenix rising to the silent auction.

Dancing rock and blues will be provided by The Swinging Chads with special guests Larry Otis and Joost Vonk, and Johnny Tsunami & The Hurricanes. 

Ticket prices are $10 for adults and $5 for ages12 and under and includes free juice, cookies and candy.  A buffet dinner will be available for $5 and will include vegan options. Wine and craft beers from Lake and Mendocino county will also be sold.

Halloween Blues & Spirits is produced by Spotlight On Productions in partnership with The Time Bank of Thrive Lake County as a benefit for Hope City to rebuild homes lost in the Clayton and Valley fires. Proceeds will be used to purchase building supplies from the community.
