LAKEPORT, Calif. – The Lakeport City Council this week will hold a discussion about proposed changes to the city budget as part of the annual midyear budget review.
The council will meet in closed session at 5:30 p.m. for property negotiations with Lake County Tribal Health related to 902 Bevins Court before the open portion of the meeting begins at 6 p.m. Tuesday, Feb. 21, in the council chambers at Lakeport City Hall, 225 Park St.
The main item on the council’s Tuesday agenda is the midyear budget review, which will be presented by City Manager Margaret Silveira and new Finance Director Nicholas Walker.
Walker’s report, which begins on page 34 of the agenda packet posted below, said that in addition to the midyear budget review, city staff is asking the council to consider a budget amendment
Altogether, staff is recommending adjustments totaling $182,725 in revenue and $253,445 in additional appropriation.
On the meeting's consent agenda – items considered noncontroversial and usually accepted as a slate on one vote – are ordinances; warrant registers dated Feb. 13; approval of Application 2017-009 with staff recommendations for the Mardi Gras Carnaval Parade from Library Park to the Soper Reese Theatre on Feb. 25; authorize the acceptance of the sludge removal project and to record a notice of completion with the county of Lake; authorize the out-of-state travel for two Public Works Department employees to attend the CONEXPO-CON/AGG exposition in Las Vegas on March 9 and 10.
