LAKEPORT, Calif. – During its regular meeting this week, the Board of Supervisors will host another workshop on a draft ordinance to govern cannabis cultivation and commercial activities.
The board will meet beginning at 9 a.m. Tuesday, March 21, in the board chambers on the first floor of the Lake County Courthouse, 255 N. Forbes St., Lakeport.

The workshop to review the draft cannabis ordinance will take place beginning at 1 p.m.
The board had previous sessions to discussion the proposed ordinance on March 7 and Jan. 17.

CONSENT AGENDA
7.1: Adopt proclamation designating the week of March 19 to 25, 2017, as Mediation Week in Lake County.
7.2: Approve contract between the county of Lake and the Law Office of Pekin & Pekin for indigent defense services; and authorize county administrative officer to sign.
7.3: Approve letter of support for AB 1642 (Obernolte) to extend the period to pay or protest the state fire prevention fee and authorize the chair to sign.
7.4: Approve first amendment to the agreement between the county of Lake and Remi Vista Inc. for specialty mental health services for fiscal year 2016-17, an increase of $10,000 with a new contract maximum of $35,000; and authorize the chair sign.
7.5: Approve the first amendment to the agreement between the county of Lake and Women’s Recovery Services for substance use disorder residential and detoxification services for fiscal year 2016-17 for an increase of $10,000 for a new contract maximum of $40,000; and authorize the chair to sign.
7.6: Approve the first amendment to the agreement between the county of Lake and North Valley Behavioral Health LLC for acute inpatient psychiatric hospital services for fiscal year 2016-17, for an increase of $100,000 for a new contract maximum of $300,000; and authorize the chair to sign.
7.7: Approve long distance travel to New Orleans, La., for Jessica Hamner, program coordinator, Public Health Division from April 18 through April 22, 2017, to attend an Open Forum for Quality Improvement in Public Health hosted by the National Network of Public Health Institutes.
7.8: Adopt proclamation designating the week of March 19 to 25, 2017, as National Surveyors' Week in Lake County.
7.9: Approve long distance travel to Las Vegas, Nev., for three employees from the Probation Office, Sheriff’s Office and County Counsel’s Office to attend the Labor Law Arbitration for Law Enforcement seminar on June 21 and 22, 2017.
7.10: (a) Waive the formal bidding process, pursuant to Lake County Code Section 38.2, as it is not in the public interest due to the unique nature of goods or services; and (b) approve the purchase of a NetApp Server for the Lake County Jail/Hill Road Facility as per the recommendations of the Information Technology director, in the amount of $44,286 from the Sheriff/Jail Budget 2301 object code 62.74, and authorize the sheriff to issue a purchase order.
7.11: Approve the first amendment to lease agreement between Gary and Sheila Sada for office space in Lakeport, extending the term through June 30, 2020, for an annual lease rate of $83,632.46; and authorize the chair to sign.
7.12: Approve the first amendment to lease agreement between Gary and Shelley Weiser for office space in Clearlake, extending the term through June 30, 2020, for an annual lease rate of $12,925.44; and authorize the chair to sign.
7.13: Approve the training services agreement with the University of California, Davis in the amount of $178,500 terminating on June 30, 2018; and authorize the chair to sign.
7.14: Approve agreement between county of Lake and Bid4Assets Inc. for the period Jan. 1, 2017, through Dec. 31, 2017, for tax default public auction services; and authorize the chair to sign.
