Lakeport Council candidates in their own words: Marc Spillman and George Spurr

LAKEPORT – Absentee ballots are out and the Nov. 4 election is just weeks away – have you decided who to vote for in the Lakeport City Council race?

To help voters get the information they need, this week Lake County News has published unabridged questionnaires from all six candidates seeking election this November – Ginger Ingersoll, Suzanne Lyons, Roy Parmentier, Bob Rumfelt, Marc Spillman and George Spurr.

This is the third and last installment of the questionnaires.

Last, but certainly not least, are council hopefuls Marc Spillman and George Spurr.

Both men are challengers in this year's race, vying with two other challengers and two incumbents for the three open seats.

Spurr is new to politics, while Spillman has just completed his first four-year term on the Lakeport Planning Commission and was appointed to a second term by the Lakeport City Council earlier this year, as Lake County News has reported.
