NOTICE OF PUBLIC HEARING
MITIGATED NEGATIVE DECLARATION


NOTICE IS HEREBY GIVEN that the Planning Commission of the County of Lake, State of California, will hold a public hearing on Major Use Permit application UP 15-16 to allow a large kennel on a twelve acre parcel proposing to establish an animal care facility for a maximum number of twenty elderly cats and fourteen elderly dogs.

The project applicant is Blythe Lucero.

The Planning Commission will consider adoption of a Mitigated Negative Declaration for this project based on Initial Study IS 15-35. 

The project is located at 11767 Candy Lane, Lower Lake, APN 122-032-24.

The proposed mitigated negative declaration will be available for review at the Community Development Department Lake County Courthouse, 255 North Forbes Street, Lakeport, California, twenty (20) days before the hearing, and the staff report will be available ten (10) days before the hearing.

NOTICE OF PUBLIC HEARING


NOTICE IS HEREBY GIVEN that the Planning Commission of the County of Lake, State of California, will hold a public hearing on Major Use Permit application (UP 16-06), requesting a five year time extension of an existing billboard sign.

The sign is located at 255 Soda Bay Road, Lakeport, and further described as APN 008-019-64. The project applicant is LaMonica Signs.

The Planning Commission will also reconsider the previously adopted mitigated negative declaration for this project based on Initial Study IS 96-08, available October 4, 2016.

The staff report will be available Oct. 17, 2016, at the Community Development Department, Lake County Courthouse, 255 North Forbes Street, Lakeport, CA.

CLEARLAKE, Calif. – The Associated Students of Lake County Campus of Woodland Community College will host a Clearlake City Council candidates' forum on Wednesday, Oct. 5.

The forum will take place from noon to 1 p.m. at the campus, located at 15880 Dam Road Extension in Clearlake. 

The Associated Students has prepared questions for all six candidates to answer based on issues and concerns from students as well as city residents.

All six candidates have been invited: Nick Bennett, Phil Harris, Joey Luiz, Jeremy Mayfield, Joyce Overton and Bill Shields.

There are three seats open in this year’s election. Questions will range from what motivated them to run for city council to what their ideas are to resolve homelessness in the city of Clearlake.

Come early if you wish to order some delicious Aromas Café tacos before listening about the candidates running in this year’s election. The restaurant will be open at 11:30 a.m. to serve for the event.

Come take part in your local politics, get informed, then on Nov. 8 let your voices be heard.
