The USGS has upgraded the magnitude of this quake from 3.4 to 3.7.
COBB, Calif. – A 3.7-magnitude earthquake was reported near The Geysers geothermal steamfield on Sunday afternoon.
The moderately sized quake occurred at 3:40 p.m., according to the US Geological Survey.
It was centered two miles northwest of The Geysers and 13 miles southwest of Clearlake, at a depth of 2.1 miles, the survey reported.
No shake reports had been submitted to the survey shortly after 4 p.m., however Lake County News received reports from a reader in the Cobb area who felt it.
A 3.2-magnitude quake was reported near The Geysers on Thursday, July 4, according to US Geological Survey records.
