CLEARLAKE, Calif. – Police have arrested a Clearlake man who is alleged to have sexually assaulted a juvenile female last week.
Kurt Adam Norling, 51, was arrested on Feb. 6 on several felony counts, including lewd and lascivious acts, willful cruelty to a child, false imprisonment, harmful matter sent with the intent of seducing child and a drug charge related to him allegedly providing two juveniles with drugs, according to police and booking records.
Sgt. Nick Bennett said Clearlake Police officers were dispatched to the St. Helena Hospital Clear Lake Emergency Room on Feb. 6 on a report of a possible sexual assault victim.
The Clearlake Police investigation revealed that two female juveniles had been hanging out with Norling the prior weekend at his residence at 3620 Vista St., Bennett said.
During that time Norling had furnished the juveniles with methamphetamine, falsely imprisoned them in his room and committed indecent acts on one of the juveniles, according to Bennett.
Norling was arrested by Clearlake Police officers and booked into the Lake County Jail. He remained in custody on Tuesday, with bail set at $100,000.
A search warrant signed by a Lake County Superior Court judge was served on Norling’s residence, Bennett said.
Bennett said that during the execution of the search warrant, evidence was located supporting the information obtained during the investigation.
