Construction begins on Elk Mountain Road Oct. 26; delays expected

UPPER LAKE, Calif. – The Lake County Department of Public Works reported that road work is soon to begin near Upper Lake.


Starting on Tuesday, Oct. 26, and continuing through Friday, Nov. 19, Elk Mountain Road at post marker 35.7 will be subject to single lane traffic control with 20-minute maximum delays, Monday through Friday (excluding holidays), between the hours of 7 a.m. and 7 p.m.


The roadway will be open to all traffic during nonwork hours, weekends and holidays.


No trailers or trucks will be permitted between 8 a.m. and 6 p.m. during work days.
