LAKEPORT, Calif. – The American Red Cross is offering a free class to teach residents how to help people set up and operate a Red Cross shelter during times of disaster.

“Shelter Operation and Simulation” will be held on Saturday, Oct. 27, from 8 a.m. to 4 p.m. at the Church of Jesus Christ of Latter-day Saints in the multipurpose room, 14970 Lakeview Way, Clearlake.

There will be additional classes regarding sheltering around the Lake, so those who are unable to attend the Shelter Operation/Simulation class may call to be placed in the next scheduled class.
