Friends of the Lake County Library to hold annual book sale Nov. 3

LAKEPORT, Calif. – Friends of the Lake County Library will host its annual book sale on Saturday, Nov. 3.

The sale will take place from 10 a.m. to 3 p.m. at the Lakeport Library, 1425 High St., telephone 707-263-8816.

Friends members get in a half hour early starting at 9:30 a.m.

There will be countless books, records, DVDs, CDs and VHS tapes. Everything from thrillers, romance novels, reference books, horror novels and children’s books.

Special offer will be Friends’ book bags – all the items you can stuff in a book bag for $15. Look for one-of-a-kind books, book sets and possibly books no longer in print. Part of the fun is browsing through boxes, and stacks of books for that special treasure.

Proceeds from this event support the libraries in Lake County. Friends generously provide books, children’s tables and chairs, and display items that would otherwise not be available to the libraries.

Friends are a group of volunteers that are dedicated to supporting and expanding what the Library offers to children and adults.

Since the public library is one of the main cultural and informational centers of the community, Friends’ realize that a community with a strong library system is a better place to live.

The group would appreciate your donation of books in good condition. Please drop off at any library branch.

Friends of the Lake County Library is a 501(c) 3 nonprofit.
