LAKEPORT, Calif. – Angelina and Thomas Jacobs, longtime residents of Lake County, celebrated their diamond 60th wedding anniversary on Friday, Nov. 23, at the Saw Shop Gallery Bistro in Kelseyville.

They were joined for dinner by their children, grandchildren, a niece and nephew, one of Angie’s sisters  and friends.

After dinner, cake was served.

Angie and Tom were married in Sunnyvale, Calif., on Nov. 23, 1952.

The couple met while at a dance at Moffett Field Naval base.

At the time, young Angie DiLeonardo was living in her native Sunnyvale, with her large Italian family – her parents, four sisters and three brothers. Tom was in the U.S. Navy and was stationed at Moffett Field. He was born in Chicago, Ill., and is one of eight children.

Together, Tom and Angie had six children, four girls and two boys. In 1975, they moved with their four youngest children from Sunnyvale to Redwood Valley, Calif.

In the early 1990s, once their children had grown and moved away, the Jacobses moved to Lakeport, where they have lived ever since.

Angie and Tom, along with their family want to thank the following local businesses for the generous gifts given to them in honor of their 60th diamond anniversary.

Thank you to Safeway in Lakeport for the lovely anniversary cake; Renee’s Cafe in Lakeport for a scrumptious breakfast and anniversary card; and an especially big thank you to Mendo Mill (Rick and Mikki) in Lakeport for their generous gift of house paint. Angie and Tom’s kids will be busy painting their house in the spring.

Also, a big thank you to Marie, wait staff and chef at The Saw Shop Gallery Bistro. Everything was great.
