SPCA of Clear Lake plans summer adoption event

KELSEYVILLE, Calif. – Summer is here and the SPCA has an abundance of cats, kittens, dogs and puppies.

All of these new adoptable family friends come with their first shots and are already spayed or neutered.

This is always a bargain, but on Saturday, June 28, and Sunday, June 29, the price to adopt one of these furry bundles of joy is reduced.

Dogs and puppies will be available for just $75 each and cats and kittens will be only $15. Why not get two?!

The SPCA of Clear Lake is now open seven days a week, 10 a.m. to 3 p.m.

If you or a friend has been thinking of getting a pet, the staff and volunteers at the SPCA of Clear Lake would love to see you and assist in helping you pick out just the right cat or dog.

If you are not quite ready to adopt, but would love to have a dog or cat in your life right now, they are always looking for foster homes.

Not only does fostering provide an invaluable service to rescue groups and the shelters that depend on them (not to mention the pets themselves), it’s a great way to learn about your own needs as a pet owner.

Additionally, a pet that is fostered gets more one on one time outside of the shelter setting, creating a calmer, more socialized animal.

The SPCA of Clear Lake is located at 8025 Highway 29 in Kelseyville.

Have a question? Please give them a call at 707-279-1400. The SPCA would love to hear from you.

Brenda Crandall is the public information officer for the SPCA of Clear Lake.
