LAKEPORT, Calif. – Marcia Chauvin, president of Lake County Republican Women, Federated, or LCRWF, is pleased to announce that Melissa Fulton, chief executive officer of the Lake County Chamber of Commerce, will be the featured speaker at LCRWF's luncheon meeting on Wednesday, Aug. 9.
The meeting will begin at 11:30 a.m. in the private dining room of Twisted Sisters Pub & Grill, 350 N. Main St., Lakeport (next to Campo's Casuals), with a delightful menu of two pasta entrees, two hearty salads, rolls and choice of ice tea, lemonade, coffee. Cost is $20 per person.
Fulton's focus will be on “Lake County – Are we ready yet?”
Things are happening in the county, many of which people are unaware. How will these cause our county to advance and provide more opportunities for it residents and cause other people to want to live and do business in this beautiful lake community?
You will hear enthusiasm in the discussion of what is in store for the future of Lake County as economic development has always been of great interest and she considers her position with the chamber to be a perfect job, mainly because it's not a job, it's a passion.
She represents the Lake County Chamber at various city and county meetings and is a board member of the Lakeport Main Street Association.
Fulton, having lived in Lake County since 1989, has held her position with the chamber since October 1990, with the exception of a three and a half year position as the advertising director for the Lake County Record-Bee and the Clearlake Observer*American.
Prior to moving to Lakeport, Fulton resided in Oxnard, Calif., where she had a 15-year career in management with Raytheon Corp. Her last three years at Raytheon Missile Systems Division was as the production control manager, overseeing a department of 43 people. She is a graduate of the Raytheon Management Association.
Fulton's interests are varied. She received a certificate for marine navigation from the United States Power Squadron after see years of courses; she is a member and past president of the Lakeport Rotary Club, is a current member of the Konocti Rod & Gun Club and a member of Delta Iota Tau, a chapter of Beta Sigma Phi.

All Registered Republicans, men and women, the young and not so young, with or without careers, with or without families, retired, all who believe in the Republican philosophies, are welcome at LCRWF meetings.
Many women enjoy being a part of more than one CRWF unit and if they are a member of a local group may join other groups as associate members. Their participation is always welcome.
