Soroptimist International of Clear Lake hosts Sept. 22 mystery dinner theater

CLEARLAKE, Calif. – Soroptimist International of Clear Lake presents a mystery dinner theater on Friday, Sept. 22.

The event will take place at the Cornelison Event Center on the Konocti Education Center Campus, 15850-A Dam Road Extension, Clearlake.

The Roaring 20s are in full swing, it’s the era of prohibition and organized crime is at an all-time high. When a flapper is found shot to death outside the The Half Moon Speakeasy, the management and loyal patrons must scramble to identify the killer before the police catch wind of the killing and shut down the juice joint for good.

The mystery theatre is one of several fundraisers the Soroptimists, a volunteer organization whose primary focus is to improve the lives of women and girls, put on each year in support of our local community.

This fun evening will include dinner catered by Fresh & Bangin: Prohibition steak with bootlegger bourbon sauce, bees knees green beans with sidecar shallots and Gatsby's garlic mashed potatoes, and a vegetarian option, flapper veggie casserole.

The Soroptimists also will provide its famous “roaring” dessert bar.

This event is very popular, so reserve now as seating is limited. Tickets are $50 per person, with $10 from each ticket going directly to the KEC senior scholarship fund.

Tickets are available at https://www.eventbrite.com/e/soroptimist-international-of-clear-lake-mystery-dinner-theatre-tickets, from our members or by calling 707-350-7419.
