Taylor Observatory to host eclipse viewing Aug. 21

KELSEYVILLE, Calif. – The Taylor Observatory will be open on the morning of Monday, Aug. 21, during the hours of the solar eclipse.

The observatory, open from 8 a.m. to noon, will make solar eclipse safety glasses available, as well as safe viewing through two telescopes.

A short planetarium show will be running in the planetarium every hour on the half hour.

Feel free to bring chairs and blankets to sit outside to watch the eclipse.

This event will be free to the public and donations are appreciated.

The eclipse starts at 9:02 a.m., peaks at 10:15 a.m. and ends at 11:36 a.m.

Taylor Observatory is open at 5725 Oak Hills Lane, Kelseyville.
