LAKEPORT, Calif. – The Lake County Fair Board will meet on Monday, Aug. 21, as it gets ready to host the fair later this month.

The meeting will begin at 4 p.m. at the fairgrounds administration office, 401 Martin St., Lakeport.

There will be a discussion of the Lake County Fair, which takes place from Aug. 31 to Sept. 3, as well as the Fair Foundation and an appreciation dinner, and a strategic planning session followup.

Action items include selecting the volunteer of the year as well as the 2018 fair theme.

The fair board's membership includes Janeane Bogner, Steven Brown, Marcia Chauvin, James Cochrane, Katherine McDowell, Annette Hopkins, Jerry McQueen and Monica Rosenthal.
