Big Valley Hall hosts ‘Ice Cream Sunday’ Aug. 27

LAKEPORT, Calif. – On Sunday, Aug. 27, the Big Valley Hall will host its “Ice Cream Sunday” from 2 to 5 p.m.

This event is free and families are welcome.

Enjoy your choice of ice cream and other homemade goodies like brownies a la mode, fruit and walnuts.

There will also be live music featuring two local acts.

From 2 to 3:30 p.m., the acoustic duo Teardrop Trailer will play original Americana and eclectic covers.

From 3:30 to 5 p.m., singer/songwriter and recording artist Cowboy Johnson will perform.

The hall has long been a resource for the community by providing culture, entertainment and education, a venue for nonprofit benefits, rentals for private events, and a meeting place where new friends are made and old friendships are cherished.

Big Valley Hall is also known for tasty breakfasts on the first Sunday of every month from 8 a.m. to noon.

Big Valley Hall is affiliated with the California Guild, a fraternal community service organization with over 80 chapters across California.

New members are needed to help support the hall in its endeavors to serve the community.

So join them on Aug. 27 to find out more about how members support the Pear Festival, scholarships for local students and how the guild successfully defended seed libraries in Sacramento.

Big Valley Hall is located at 1510 Big Valley Road in Lakeport, at the Finley border.
