NORTH COAST, Calif. – Caltrans reports that the following road projects will be taking place around Lake County and the North Coast during the coming week.
Included are Mendocino County projects that may impact Lake County commuters.
LAKE COUNTY
Highway 29
– Emergency culvert repairs from Spruce Grove Road to Hofacker Lane will begin Wednesday, Sept. 27. One-way traffic control will be in effect from 7 a.m. to 5 p.m. weekdays. Motorists should anticipate 10-minute delays.
Highway 53
– AT&T has been granted a Caltrans Encroachment Permit for utility work at Kugelman Street. Lane restrictions in both directions will be in effect from 8 a.m. to 3 p.m. on Friday, Sept. 22. Motorists should anticipate minor traffic slowdowns.
Highway 175
– Emergency highway repairs near Arroyo Vista Road will continue. One-way traffic control will be in effect from 7 a.m. to 5 p.m. weekdays. Motorists should anticipate five-minute delays.
MENDOCINO COUNTY
Highway 1
– Bridge work at Salmon Creek will continue. One-way traffic control will be in effect through 3 p.m. Friday, Sept. 22. Motorists should anticipate five-minute delays.
– Bridge work at the Noyo River Bridge will continue. One-way traffic control will be in effect through 3 p.m. on Friday, Sept. 22. Motorists should anticipate five-minute delays.
– AT&T has been granted a Caltrans Encroachment Permit for utility work at Blue Slide Gulch. One-way traffic control will be in effect 8 a.m. to 3 p.m. Tuesday, Sept. 26, and Wednesday, Sept. 27. Motorists should anticipate five-minute delays.
– Emergency work north of the Westport North Bridge will continue. One-way traffic control will be in effect 24 hours per day, seven days per week. Motorists should anticipate five-minute delays.
– Emergency storm damage repairs south of the Wages Creek Bridge will continue. One-way traffic control will be in effect 24 hours per day, seven days per week. Motorists should anticipate five-minute delays.
Highway 20
– Bridge work from Little Lake Road to Private Road will continue. One-way traffic control will be in effect 8 a.m. to 6 p.m. weekdays. Motorists should anticipate five-minute delays.
– Guardrail work at Two Rock Lookout will start Monday, Sept. 25. One-way traffic control will be in effect from 7 a.m. to 3 p.m. weekdays. Motorists should anticipate five-minute delays.
Highway 101
– Guardrail repairs at Comminsky Station Road will continue. Lane restrictions in both directions will be in effect from 8 a.m. to 8 p.m. through Friday, Sept. 22. Motorists should anticipate minor traffic slowdowns.
– Slide repairs from Comminsky Station Road to the Pieta Creek Bridge will continue. Northbound traffic will be reduced to one lane from 7 a.m. to 5 p.m. weekdays. Motorists should anticipate minor traffic slowdowns.
– Median barrier installation from Geysers Road to Comminsky Station Road will continue. Traffic will be reduced to one lane in both directions from 4 a.m. to 3 p.m. weekdays. Motorists should anticipate minor traffic slowdowns.
– Slide repairs from Comminsky Station Road to the Pieta Creek Bridge will continue. Northbound traffic will be reduced to one lane from 7 a.m. to 5 p.m. weekdays. Motorists should anticipate minor traffic slowdowns.
– Routine maintenance near Frog Woman Rock will continue. Northbound traffic will be restricted to one lane 24 hours per day, seven days per week. Motorists should anticipate minor traffic slowdowns.
– Guardrail repairs at the Crawford Creek Bridge will continue. Lane restrictions in both directions will be in effect from 8 p.m. to 8 a.m. weekdays through Friday, Sept. 22. Motorists should anticipate minor traffic slowdowns.
– Guardrail repairs at the 253 junction will continue. Lane restrictions in both directions will be in effect from 8 a.m. to 8 p.m. Friday, Sept. 22. Motorists should anticipate minor traffic slowdowns.
– Bridge work at the Gibson Creek Bridge will start Sunday, Sept. 24. Lane restrictions in both directions will be in effect from 8 p.m. to 6 a.m. weekdays. Motorists should anticipate five-minute delays.
– Bridge work at the Presswood Overhead Bridge started Thursday, Sept. 21. Lane restrictions in both directions will be in effect from 8 p.m. to 6 a.m. weekdays. Motorists should anticipate minor traffic delays.
– Bridge work at the Pomo Undercrossing will continue. One-way traffic control will be in effect until 3pm Friday, Sept. 22. Motorists should anticipate five-minute delays.
– Guardrail repairs at Haehl Overhead to Bridge Walker Road will continue. One-way traffic control will be in effect from 8 p.m. to 8 a.m. through Friday, Sept. 22. Motorists should anticipate five-minute delays.
– Pavement work at State Street will start Monday, Sept. 25. One-way traffic control will be in effect from 6 p.m. to 6 a.m. Tuesday, Sept. 26. Motorists should anticipate five-minute delays.
– Drainage repairs just south of Outlet Creek will continue. One-way traffic control will be in effect from 7 a.m. to 7 p.m. weekdays. Motorists should anticipate 10-minute delays.
– Drainage repairs at Reynolds Hwy to Ryan Creek Rd will continue. Lane restrictions in both directions will be in effect from 7 a.m. to 7 p.m. weekdays. Motorists should anticipate minor traffic slowdowns.
– Drainage repairs at various locations from Arnold Bridge Overhead to the Rattlesnake Creek Bridge will continue. Traffic will be reduced to one lane in both directions from 7 a.m. to 7 p.m. weekdays. Motorists should anticipate 10-minute delays.
– Emergency pavement repairs from Long Valley Creek to the Empire Camp Rest Area will continue. One-way traffic control will be in effect from 7 p.m. to 6:30 a.m. weekdays. Motorists should anticipate five-minute delays.
– Emergency work near Hermitage Vista Point will continue. Northbound traffic will be reduced to one lane from 6 a.m. to 8 p.m. weekdays. Motorists should anticipate 10-minute delays.
– Emergency slide removal near the Dora Creek Bridge will continue. One-way traffic control will be in effect from 7 a.m. to 7 p.m. weekdays. Motorists should anticipate 10-minute delays.
– Bridgework at the South Fork of Eel River Bridge will continue. Lane restrictions in both directions will be in effect from 6 a.m. to 3 p.m. Friday, Sept. 22, then weekdays starting Monday, Sept. 25, 7 a.m. to 6 p.m. weekdays. Motorists should anticipate minor traffic slowdowns.
Highway 128
– Bridge work from Shearing Creek to Fish Rock Road will continue. One-way traffic control will be in effect from 6 a.m. to 3 p.m. through Friday, Sept. 22. Motorists should anticipate 10-minute delays.
– Bridge work at the Dry Creek Bridge will continue. One-way traffic control will be in effect at all hours. Motorists should anticipate five-minute delays.
Highway 162
– Pavement work from 1 mile west of Poonkiny to Short Creek Road will continue. One-way traffic control will be in effect from 7 a.m. to 7 p.m. weekdays. Motorists should anticipate 10-minute delays.
– Pavement work at Covelo Ranger Station will occur on Friday, Sept. 22. One-way traffic control will be in effect from 8 a.m. to 3 p.m. Motorists should anticipate five-minute delays.
Highway 175
– Emergency storm damage repairs at various locations from 1.7 miles east of Buckman Drive to the Lake/Mendocino County line will continue. One-way traffic control with a temporary traffic signal will be in effect 24 hours per day, seven days per week. Motorists should anticipate 30-minute delays.
Highway 253
– Highway repairs near Singley Cattlepass will continue. One-way traffic control will be in effect from 7 a.m. to 5 p.m. weekdays. Motorists should anticipate 15-minute delays.
Highway 271
– Emergency repairs at Piercy will continue. Full closure will be in effect 7 a.m. to 7 p.m. weekdays. Traffic will be detoured on Route 101.
The Caltrans Traffic Operations Office has reviewed each project and determined that individual project delays are expected to be less than the statewide policy maximum of 30 minutes, unless noted otherwise above.
