LAKEPORT, Calif. – The First 5 Lake Commission will hold its next meeting on Wednesday, Sept. 27.

The commission will meet beginning at 2 p.m. at the Lake County Department of Social Services, 14092 Lakeshore Drive, Clearlake.

Items on the agenda include approval of the August financial reports, approval of a funding request from Sutter Lakeside Hospital for the Heroes of Health & Safety Fair, approval of the Lake County Office of Education’s Changes to the HERO Project, and a presentation on tobacco prevention and education.

There also will be reports from the executive director and the commissioners.

All those interested in the well-being of families and young children are encouraged to attend.

The commission includes Chair Pam Klier, Vice Chair Denise Pomeroy and members Brock Falkenberg, Jeff Smith, Crystal Markytan, Susan Jen, Laurie Daly, Carly Swatosh and Allison Panella.
