UPPER LAKE, Calif. – The Upper Lake Senior Support Center will continue its once-a-month “Coffee and Conversation” on Wednesday, Sept. 27.
The event will take place from 11 a.m. to 1 p.m. at the center, 9470 Mendenhall Road, at the corner of First Street.
The speaker will be ham radio operator Paul Kemp, who will speak about the importance of a ham radio in the midst of an emergency or disaster.
When power is out communication is limited. The group will talk after the presentation about what everyone can do to be ready for a disaster.
A light lunch will be served.
All age groups are welcome to attend.
The Upper Lake Senior Center continues to offer French on the second and fourth Mondays at 5 p.m., gentle seated yoga at 11 a.m. as well as an art class at noon every Tuesday.
On the third Tuesday of the month the center provides the Upper Lake Community Food Project.
