LAKEPORT, Calif. – The Lakeport Main Street Association will bring the Dickens’ Christmas Market to Main Street this weekend.
On Friday, Nov. 24 – which is Small Business Day across America – the Elf Hunt begins at almost 20 businesses in historic downtown Lakeport and continues on Saturday, with the winners names drawn at 4 p.m. that day.
The market on Saturday, Nov. 25, runs from 11 a.m. to 6 p.m. with entertainment throughout the day.
The Divas will be performing all day; a large tent with crafts for children will be in place on the lawn at Museum Park.
Santa and Mrs. Claus will be in the tent beginning at noon so parents can take photos of their youngsters with Santa.
Arts and Crafts vendors will be on Main Street from First to Third streets during the market hours and Main Street is closed to traffic during those hours.
Parking is available on Main Street except for those two blocks and also in the city parking lot at Third and Park streets along with parking in Library Park lots.
The annual Lakeport Tree Lighting ceremony begins in front of Museum Park at 5 p.m. with the singing of Christmas Carols.
“The Dickens Christmas Market is a great way to kick off your holiday shopping,” said Panette Talia, executive director of the Lakeport Main Street Association.
The Main Street Association can be reached at 707-263-8843.
