UPPER LAKE, Calif. – On Saturday, Dec. 9, the historic Tallman Hotel in downtown Upper Lake will host two festive gingerbread house decorating events from 1 to 2:30 p.m. and 3 to 4:30 p.m. and also host a visit from Santa Claus.

Guests will gather in the warm and welcoming setting of Riffe’s Meeting House.

Perfect ways to celebrate the holidays, the gingerbread house decorating events are fun for children of all ages.

Each participant will receive an assembled, undecorated gingerbread house.

The Tallman will provide the royal icing, candy, tips and techniques so guests can create their very own gingerbread masterpiece. Holiday cookies, hot cocoa and cider will be served.

The cost is $40 per person for adults and children. Reservations are required and early bookings are recommended as seating is limited.

Santa Claus is coming to town and he will be at the Tallman Hotel on Dec. 9 from 2 to 4 p.m.

Photos with Santa will be taken by the Tallman’s beautiful Victorian Christmas tree. Keepsake photos measuring 5 inches by 7 inches are available for $15. Reservations are not required.
