KELSEYVILLE, Calif. – The Kelseyville Business Association reported that it could not be happier with the participation and turnout for this year’s annual Christmas in the Country Parade of Lights on Dec. 1.

The association thanked all of the businesses, from the Acosta’s Repair Shop at one end of the street all the way down to Be Young Wellness at the other, who went all out to light up town for the holiday season. Members or otherwise, every one of the downtown establishments went the extra mile this year.

It was exciting to see so many new businesses like the Dock Factory, DFM Wicked Sounds, Mulka Construction, Galvani Day Care and Send Rover On Over in the parade lineup this year. They provided a promising sense of growth in our community.

Then there are those businesses that never fail to impress each year, like Kelseyville Lumber, Holdenried Harvesting, R.B. Peters and Pivniska Realty, just to name a few, as well as Kelseyville Appliance whose grand finale of bubbles with the “Bubble Machine” was the biggest hit of the night.

Dozens of children went home soaking wet and worn out after having all of the fun they could stand playing in a mountain of suds.

KBA is also very grateful for the downtown merchants who provided all of the warmth and hospitality one could hope for on this very special night, when everyone comes out with great anticipation, knowing that they will see so many friends and associates.

The association’s biggest thanks go to Mary and Dave Morse of Kelseyville Appliance. For 25 years now, they have been the coordinators of this event.

However, the Morses would be the first to tell you that they could not do it without the likes of Mike and Kim Riley, Mike Dolan, Ross Mason, Mike Lorenzini and all of the individuals who come out every year to help.

Those individuals put up the lights, garland, wreaths and lamp bonnets before sweeping the street and posting the no parking signs to make sure the path is clear for the parade and safe for the wonderful crowd of people who support this amazing event every year.

The Kelseyville Business Association thanks the community for coming out to take part and wishes each and every one of you the merriest of Christmas seasons and a fruitful and prosperous new year.
