LAKE COUNTY, Calif. – A group has formed to assist local seniors and senior support organizations.

The Silver Foundation is a nonprofit California corporation to support seniors. Its board had its first meeting this fall.

The group, whose founder and chairman is District 3 Supervisor Jim Steele, hosted its inaugural Senior Summit in April. Another summit will take place in April 2018.

The Silver Foundation’s mission is to help all the senior support groups in Lake County with outside donations, grants and endowments.

The organization wants to hear from county seniors about their top three concerns or issues that impact local seniors.
