Free workshop offered on climate reality and switching to solar

KELSEYVILLE, Calif. – On Friday, Feb. 23, community members will have the opportunity to take part in a fun, educational and informative evening where they will learn about the reality of what's going on with our climate and practical steps they can take to do something about it.

This event will be held at the Methodist/Unitarian Universalist Church at 3810 Main St. in Kelseyville.

There is no charge, though participants are asked to bring a vegetarian or vegan potluck item to share. If you're a homeowner, bring a copy of your most current electricity bill to see if your home is a good candidate for solar energy.

The evening's program is as follows:

You'll learn:

– The simple science behind “How did we get here?”
– How climate change is affecting weather and people around the globe.

– Positive actions we can take as individuals.
