LAKEPORT, Calif. – The Lakeport Senior Center is planning a Chinese New Year dinner dance this week.

Friday, Feb. 16, is a chance to celebrate the Chinese New Year with the LC Diamonds.

The evening event, which begins at 5:30 p.m., also will offer the chance to enjoy the amazing food buffet prepared from scratch with no MSG by Vittles Catering, with the menu including shrimp egg rolls, crab rangoons, broccoli beef, tangerine chicken, BBQ Pork chow mein, stir fry vegetables and vegetable fried rice for only $25 per person.

This event will sell out and help raise the money needed to keep these classes at the center like Tai Chi going.

A huge silent auction of donated and baked goods will be held thanks to a generous community and sponsorships from Dennis Fordham, Value Propane and Jon Hopkins.

The few remaining tickets can be purchased at any senior center in Lake County, the Meals on Wheels Thrift Store in Lakeport and for more information call Linda at 707-337-2441.
