LAKE COUNTY, Calif. – Longtime Lake County Supervisor Jeff Smith on Monday announced his endorsement of businesswoman Denise Loustalot for supervisor in District 3.
The seat will be open due to the retirement of its current incumbent.
“I’m proud to support Denise Loustalot for supervisor,” said Smith. “She has the experience and leadership to be a truly effective voice for the people of District 3.”
He added, “As Clearlake mayor and city councilwoman, Denise showed great skill in helping to restore the City’s financial health. She understands how to work constructively with others to get things done. She will bring a strong record of accomplishment to the Lake County Board of Supervisors.”
Loustalot currently serves as chairwoman of the East Region Town Hall that advocates for the residents of Clearlake Oaks and Spring Valley.
A resident of Lake County for more than 37 years, Loustalot and her husband Pete own two successful local businesses that employ 28 people.
“It’s an honor to earn the support of a respected county leader like Supervisor Jeff Smith,” said Loustalot. “District 3 is a large and diverse area stretching across all of northern Lake County. As our new county supervisor, I will fight for the concerns of all our local communities.”
