MENDOCINO NATIONAL FOREST, Calif. – The public is invited to participate in community conversations about future forest health projects on the Grindstone Ranger District.
Three conversations will occur during the first week of May:
– Tuesday, May 1, 2 to 4 p.m., Mendocino National Forest headquarters, 825 N. Humboldt Ave., Willows.
– Wednesday, May 2, 5:30 to 7:30 p.m., Carnegie Center, 912 Third St., Orland.
– Thursday, May 3, 5:30 to 7:30 p.m., Paskenta Community Hall, 13140 Toomes Camp Road, Paskenta.
The three scheduled events will include a short presentation followed by a brief Q-and-A session, with the majority of the time reserved for an open house with Forest Service resource specialists.
"Your interests and concerns are important. This is your opportunity to meet our specialists and discuss ideas you may have about improving forest health conditions. We hope you will join us,” said acting Grindstone District Ranger Dionne Uzes.
