LAKEPORT, Calif. – The First 5 Lake Commission will meet on Wednesday, April 25, to hold a daylong strategic planning session followed by its regular monthly meeting.
The commission will meet for the strategic planning session from 9 a.m. to 3 p.m. in the Kesey Room at the Lake County Office of Education, 1152 S. Main St., Lakeport.

The regular meeting follows at 3 p.m.
Agenda items include approval of revised February financials and the March financial reports, a presentation by Social Entrepreneurs Inc. and approval of recommendation from Evaluation Ad Hoc Committee to enter into contract negotiations, an update from the By-Laws Review Ad Hoc Committee, approval to sponsor the Free Family Movie at Lakeport Cinema and a request from Mother-Wise for movie screening.
There also will be reports from Executive Director Carla Ritz, and marijuana and tobacco updates and discussion.
All those interested in the well-being of families and young children are encouraged to attend.
The commission includes Chair Pam Klier, Vice Chair Denise Pomeroy and members Brock Falkenberg, Tina Scott, Crystal Markytan, Susan Jen, Laurie Daly, Carly Swatosh and Allison Panella.
