Lake Mendocino Dam control burn cancelled

MENDOCINO COUNTY, Calif. – The control burn planned for the evening of Friday, June 15, at the Coyote Valley Dam, Lake Mendocino, has been cancelled.

This burn will be rescheduled at a future, to-be-determined, date.

The U.S. Army Corps of Engineers, in cooperation with Cal Fire, uses this annual burn to remove vegetation from the face of the Coyote Valley Dam, allowing access and visibility for required annual inspection.
