Caltrans plans major roadwork through June 21

NORTH COAST, Calif. – Caltrans reports that the following road projects will be taking place around the North Coast during the coming week.

Included are Mendocino County projects that may impact Lake County commuters.

LAKE COUNTY

Highway 20

– Shoulder work near Foothill Drive will continue. Lane closures will be in effect from 7 a.m. to 6 p.m. weekdays. Motorists should anticipate minor traffic slowdowns.

Highway 29

– Middletown Days Parade will close Route 29 from Sheveland Road to Helena Creek on Saturday, June 16, from 10 a.m. to 1 p.m. Detours are available. Motorists should anticipate 10-minute delays.

– Roadwork at Cruickshank Road will continue. One-way traffic control will be in effect in both directions from 7 p.m. to 7 a.m. overnight weeknights. Motorists should anticipate five-minute delays.

Highway 175

– Middletown Days Parade will close Route 175 from Napa Avenue to Santa Clarita Street on Saturday, June 16 from 10 a.m. to 1 p.m. Detours are available. Motorists should anticipate 10-minute delays.

Highway 281

– AT&T has been granted a Caltrans Encroachment Permit for utility work at Inca Way to begin on Monday, June 18. One-way traffic control will be in effect from 8:00 a.m. to 3 p.m. weekdays. Motorists should anticipate five-minute delays.

MENDOCINO COUNTY

Highway 1

– AT&T has been granted a Caltrans Encroachment Permit for utility work from Lake Street to Forestry Fire Station to occur on Friday, June 15. One-way traffic control will be in effect from 9 a.m. to 3 p.m. weekdays. Motorists should anticipate five-minute delays.

– Emergency work 1 mile south of Navarro Bluff Road will continue. One-way traffic control will be in effect. Motorists should anticipate five-minute delays.

– PG&E has been granted a Caltrans Encroachment Permit for utility work at Fir Avenue to occur on Monday, June 18. Lane closures will be in effect from 8 a.m. to 3 p.m. Motorists should anticipate minor traffic slowdowns.

– Emergency work near Soldier Point Viaduct will continue. One-way traffic control will be in effect 24 hours day. Motorists should minor traffic slowdowns.

Highway 101

– Emergency work at Russian River Bridge will begin. One-way traffic control will be in effect in both directions 8 p.m. to 7 a.m. weekdays. Motorist should anticipate 15-minute delays.

– Striping work from Russian River Bridge to El Roble Overcrossing will occur on Monday, June 18. One-way traffic control will be in effect from 5 a.m. to 9 p.m. Motorists should anticipate five-minute delays.

– Striping work from Pieta Creek Bridge to Moore Avenue Undercrossing will occur on Tuesday, June 19. One-way traffic control will be in effect from 5 a.m. to 9 p.m. Motorists should anticipate five-minute delays.

– Striping work from South Ukiah Overhead to North State Street Undercrossing will occur on Friday, June 15. One-way traffic control will be in effect from 5 a.m. to 9 p.m. Motorists should anticipate five-minute delays.

– Pavement work near the Route 222 junction will continue. The southbound offramp will be fully closed. Motorists should find an alternate route.

– Striping work from Pomo Undercrossing to Haehl Creek Bridge will begin on Wednesday, June 20. Lane closures will be in effect from 5 a.m. to 9 p.m. weekdays. Motorists should anticipate minor traffic slowdowns.

– Emergency work south of Ridgewood Ranch Road will continue. Lane restrictions will be in effect in both directions. Motorist should anticipate minor traffic slowdowns.

– Drainage work north of Uva Drive will continue. One-way traffic control will be in effect from 7 a.m. to 4 p.m. weekdays. Motorists should anticipate 15-minute delays.

– Striping work from Waterplanet Grider Road to Moss Cove Rest Area will begin on Thursday, June 21. Lane closures will be in effect from 5 a.m. to 9 p.m. weekdays. Motorists should anticipate minor traffic slowdowns.

– Construction work at Sherwood Road Intersection will continue. One-way traffic control will be in effect from 8 p.m. to 6 a.m. Motorists should anticipate 15-minute delays.

– Striping work from Reynolds Highway to River Dale Motel will begin on Friday, June 22. Lane closures will be in effect from 5 a.m. to 9 p.m. weekdays. Motorists should anticipate minor traffic slowdowns.

– Construction at Jitney Gulch Bridge will continue. One-way traffic control will be in effect from 7 a.m. to 5 p.m. weekdays. Motorists should anticipate 10-minute delays.

– Emergency work at Bell Glenn Resort to the Dora Creek Bridge will continue. One-way traffic control will be in effect. Motorists should anticipate 10-minute delays.

– Emergency work north of Piercy will continue. Lane restrictions will be in effect in both directions. Motorists should anticipate minor traffic slowdowns.

Highway 128

– Emergency work from Hibbard Road to Big Oaks Drive will continue. One-way traffic control will be in effect. Motorists should anticipate 10-minute delays.

Highway 162

– Wall work at The Middle Way will continue. One-way traffic control with temporary stop signs will be in effect. Motorists should anticipate 10-minute delays.

Highway 175

– Emergency work east of the entrance to Motorcycle Park will continue. One-way traffic control will be in effect. Motorists should anticipate 10-minute delays.

Highway 222

– City of Ukiah has been granted a Caltrans Encroachment Permit for utility work at Hastings Frontage Road to occur on Friday, June 15. One-way traffic control will be in effect from 6 a.m. to 6 p.m. Motorists should anticipate five-minute delays.

The Caltrans Traffic Operations Office has reviewed each project and determined that individual project delays are expected to be less than the statewide policy maximum of 30 minutes, unless noted otherwise above.
