NORTH COAST, Calif. – Caltrans reports that the following road projects will be taking place around the North Coast during the coming week.
Included are Mendocino County projects that may impact Lake County commuters.
Caltrans will suspend most work on Northern California highways from Tuesday, July 3, through Wednesday, July 4, in observance of the July 4 holiday.
However, in the case of unforeseen circumstances, it may be necessary for Caltrans Maintenance forces to respond to emergency situations.
LAKE COUNTY
Highway 20
– Shoulder work near Foothill Drive will continue. Lane closures will be in effect from 7 a.m. to 6 p.m. weekdays. Motorists should anticipate minor traffic slowdowns.
Highway 29
– Roadwork from Spruce Road to Spruce Lane will continue. One-way traffic control will be in effect from 6 a.m. to 4 p.m. weekdays. Motorists should anticipate five-minute delays.
Highway 175
– AT&T has been granted a Caltrans Encroachment Permit for utility work at Road 4 and Road 544 to occur on Friday, June 29. One-way traffic control will be in effect from 7 a.m. to 3 p.m. weekdays. Motorists should anticipate five-minute delays.
MENDOCINO COUNTY
Highway 1
– Point Arena July 4 Parade has been granted a Caltrans Encroachment Permit for Sunday, July 1. Full closure from Point Arena South City Limits to Iverson Avenue. Motorists should find alternate route.
– AT&T has been granted a Caltrans Encroachment Permit for utility work from Lake Street to Forestry Fire Station to occur on Friday, June 29. One-way traffic control will be in effect from 8 a.m. to 3 p.m. Motorists should anticipate five-minute delays.
– Paving work from Greenwood Creek to Greenwood Road will begin on Friday, June 29. One-way traffic control will be in effect from 8 a.m. to 4 p.m. Motorists should anticipate five-minute delays.
– Emergency work near Soldier Point Viaduct will continue. One-way traffic control will be in effect 24 hours day. Motorists should minor traffic slowdowns.
Highway 101
– Striping work from Route 253 to Forsythe Creek Bridge will begin on Monday, July 2. Lane closures will be in effect from 5 a.m. to 9 p.m. weekdays. Motorists should anticipate minor traffic slowdowns.
– Pavement work near the Route 222 junction will continue. The southbound offramp will be fully closed. Motorists should find an alternate route.
– Emergency work south of Ridgewood Ranch Road will continue. Lane restrictions will be in effect in both directions. Motorist should anticipate minor traffic slowdowns.
– Kate Wolf Music Festival has been granted a Caltrans Encroachment Permit for Thursday, June 28 through Monday, July 2. Lane closures at 3.5 miles south of Rattlesnake Summit will be in effect. Motorists should anticipate minor traffic slowdowns.
– Construction at Jitney Gulch Bridge will continue. One-way traffic control will be in effect from 7 a.m. to 6 p.m. weekdays. Motorists should anticipate 10-minute delays.
– Striping work from Standish Hickey to Benbow Drive will occur Friday, June 29. Lane closures will be in effect from 6 a.m. to 9 p.m. Motorists should anticipate minor traffic slowdowns.
– Emergency work at Bell Glenn Resort to the Dora Creek Bridge will continue. One-way traffic control will be in effect. Motorists should anticipate 10-minute delays.
– Emergency work north of Piercy will continue. Lane restrictions will be in effect in both directions. Motorists should anticipate minor traffic slowdowns.
Highway 128
– Emergency work from Hibbard Road to Big Oaks Drive will continue. One-way traffic control will be in effect. Motorists should anticipate 10-minute delays.
Highway 162
– Drainage work from 1 mile east of Corral Creek Bridge to Short Creek will occur on Friday, June 29. One-way traffic control will be in effect 7 a.m. to 7 p.m. Motorist should anticipate five- minute delays.
– Wall work at The Middle Way will continue. One-way traffic control with temporary stop signs will be in effect. Motorists should anticipate 10-minute delays.
Highway 175
– AT&T has been granted a Caltrans Encroachment Permit for utility work from East Side Road to Old Toll Road to occur on Friday, June 29. One-way traffic control will be in effect from 8 a.m. to 3 p.m. Motorists should anticipate five-minute delays.
– Emergency work east of the entrance to Motorcycle Park will continue. One-way traffic control will be in effect. Motorists should anticipate 10-minute delays.
