The proposal involves issuing replacement and new special use authorizations to consolidate and administratively combine current and expired authorizations.
The Mendocino National Forest is initiating a 14-day public scoping period that will begin on July 12, 2018 and end on July 26, 2018.
During this time public comments concerning the proposed action may be submitted to help Forest Service staff identify potential impacts and issues related to the project.
The most helpful scoping comments are those that frame potential issues and impacts in the context of cause and effect relationships resulting from the proposed action.
Scoping comments received after the 14-day scoping period will still be considered until a decision is made, but will not be as helpful in framing the environmental analysis as comments received on time.
