LAKEPORT, Calif. – The Konocti Quilters have voted to make a significant contribution to the community by volunteering to handle the clothing and textiles building at the fairgrounds during the 2018 Lake County Fair.

The group will be checking in the exhibits, setting up the displays, assisting the judges, and conducting breakdown and checkout after the fair.

They would like to encourage everyone to enter their handiwork by the Aug. 4 deadline. Entries and fees may be made either online or at the fair office.

Check-in of the articles will be Aug. 17, 18 and 19 from noon until 6:30 p.m.

After the fair, entries will be available for pick up on Monday, Sept 4, 9 a.m. to 3 p.m.

The building will be monitored during the open hours of the fair to ensure the safety of all entries.

The Konocti Quilters meet at 10 a.m. on the fourth Wednesday of each month at Umpqua Bank in Lakeport.

New members are always welcome.
